Ravens coach shuts down reporter's Trump question

John Harbaugh Objects to Question About Meeting with President Trump

At the opening of the Baltimore Ravens training camp, head coach John Harbaugh expressed his objection to a reporter's question about his recent meeting with President Trump. The question was framed around Harbaugh's decision to meet with Trump despite the President's past negative comments about Baltimore. Harbaugh emphasized that the experience of meeting with the President was positive and remarkable.

A photo posted online by Clay Travis showed John Harbaugh and his brother Jim, who is the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, alongside President Trump, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, U.S. trade representative Jamieson Greer, and U.S. commerce secretary Howard Lutnick during their visit to the White House.

During the training camp, John Harbaugh refrained from making any political statements and instead expressed his support for the office of the president. He mentioned that he roots for the president's success, similar to how he supports his quarterback and team. Harbaugh highlighted that meeting with the president was an amazing experience for him.

John Harbaugh has met with three other presidents in the past, including Barack Obama. He mentioned that his brother Jim has met with more presidents than him, including President Reagan. The meeting with Trump and Lutnick was described as a first-time encounter for everyone involved, and despite being intended to be brief, the conversation extended beyond the scheduled time.

The meeting with President Trump also involved discussions about sports, with Trump showing knowledge about football and inquiring about Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert. Other significant attendees at the meeting included Jensen Huang, a key figure in the AI technology and semiconductor industry, and Howard Lutnick, who has been involved in economic debates with the Federal Reserve chairman. Lutnick has clarified that he had no personal relationship or dealings with Jeffrey Epstein, despite past ties.
