Review of 'WWE 2K25' on Switch 2: Worth It?
The Switch and WWE games have a mixed history. Except for 2020's Battlegrounds, there hasn't been a 2K wrestling game on the system since WWE 2k18 in 2017. The game had performance issues on Nintendo's console.
In April, during a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, 2K announced that WWE 2K25 would be coming to the Switch 2. This was met with skepticism due to past issues. However, the game is a good port and runs smoothly on the Switch 2.
While the Switch 2 has handled big games like Cyberpunk 2077, the question remained whether it could run titles alongside PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. WWE 2K25's arrival on the Switch 2 is a test of this, and it has been successful.
The game includes familiar modes like Universe, The Island (new for 2K25), and My Rise, with features similar to the PS5 version. Matches are smooth and authentic, with various match types available. Some graphical details are missing compared to the PS5 version, but these do not significantly impact the gameplay experience.
