The Sabrina Carpenter Fund with PLUS1

Sabrina Carpenter, a prominent pop star known for hits like "Espresso" and "Manchild," has raised over $1 million for various causes close to her heart. The fund, created in partnership with PLUS1, a registered nonprofit organization, collects $1 from each of Carpenter's concert ticket sales. This milestone was achieved in less than a year, making Carpenter the fastest PLUS1 music artist to reach this amount.

The fund supports mental health, animal welfare, and LGBTQ+ rights organizations such as the JED Foundation, PAPYRUS, and Rainbow Railroad. Carpenter expressed gratitude for the opportunity to use her platform to amplify the work of these impactful organizations.

PLUS1, founded over a decade ago, has raised over $30 million for more than 830 nonprofits in collaboration with various music artists. Marika Anthony-Shaw, the CEO of PLUS1, highlighted the organization's mission to create positive change by harnessing the collective energy of passionate fan bases and artists.

Anthony-Shaw explained that the idea behind PLUS1 stemmed from the desire to leverage the influence of artists for meaningful impact. The organization aims to empower artists to contribute to causes on a scale they might not achieve individually.

Carpenter's partnership with PLUS1 was driven by her strong commitment to issues such as mental health, animal welfare, and LGBTQ rights. Anthony-Shaw praised Carpenter's leadership and dedication to making a difference through strategic philanthropy.

Looking ahead, the Sabrina Carpenter Fund plans to continue innovating and expanding its impact through new partnerships and activations. Carpenter's success demonstrates the potential for artists to drive significant change when provided with the right support and infrastructure.

As Pride month concludes, Carpenter expressed her gratitude to her LGBTQ+ fans for their unwavering support throughout her career. She affirmed her commitment to standing by them and promoting authenticity and inclusivity.
