Police Arrest Three Suspects in Connection with Strong-Armed Robberies in San Jose

Police in San Jose announced the arrests of three individuals linked to two strong-armed robberies targeting people selling items through online meetings. The incidents occurred on the night of June 11.

In the first robbery on Hermitage Avenue, a victim selling shoes worth $480 was pushed by one suspect who then took the shoes. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle. An hour later, on Cherry Avenue, the suspects forcefully took a $3,000 watch from another victim during a transaction.

The robbery unit detectives identified two adult males and a juvenile as the suspects. On August 19, 19-year-old Isaiah Esquibel was arrested, and a loaded firearm was found at his home. The second adult suspect, identified as 19-year-old Gomez, was arrested three days later. An 18-year-old, who was a juvenile during the incidents, was also arrested on the same day.

The suspects were booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of robbery and firearm-related offenses. The juvenile suspect was transferred to Juvenile Hall. Police advised caution when buying or selling items online, emphasizing safety measures like meeting in public places, avoiding going alone, trusting instincts, and keeping records.
