Sean 'Diddy' Combs Sentenced to 50 Months in Prison

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sentenced to 50 months in prison for two prostitution-related offenses. He will receive credit for the 12 months he has already served at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

Before the sentencing, Combs tearfully apologized in court, expressing that he had been humbled and broken to his core.

Federal prosecutors had argued for a minimum of 11 years in prison for Combs, while his defense team requested a sentence of no more than 14 months.

Following the sentencing, Combs’ lawyers announced their intention to appeal, alleging that the judge acted as a 13th juror and second-guessed the jury's decision.

One of the jurors from the trial remarked that Combs had received a lenient sentence and expressed surprise at the judge's decision, suggesting that a 10-year sentence would have been more appropriate.

Attorney Doug Wigdor, representing Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, acknowledged the impact of the offenses committed by Combs and expressed confidence in Ventura's continued healing process.

District Judge Arun Subramanian offered words of encouragement to Combs, emphasizing that there is a "light at the end of the tunnel" despite the severity of the sentence. Combs, addressing his family as he left the courtroom, expressed his apologies and love for them.
