Man Utd's Rashford sees Barcelona transfer hopes rise

Marcus Rashford has returned to Manchester United following the end of his loan spell at Aston Villa on June 30. Despite his return, Rashford is unlikely to have a future at Old Trafford and is looking to move to a new club instead of staying at Carrington this summer.

Barcelona is Rashford's preferred destination if he leaves United. Recent developments have increased the possibility of a move to the Catalan side as Barcelona missed out on signing Luis Diaz from Liverpool and Nico Williams from Athletic Club.

Barcelona faces financial constraints set by LaLiga, making it challenging to secure deals for players. Rashford's potential move to Barcelona is more feasible now, although the structure of the deal will require careful consideration due to financial issues at Barcelona, Rashford's wages at United, and United's preference for a permanent sale over a loan.

If a move to Barcelona does not materialize, Rashford is open to joining another Champions League club. Aston Villa, previously on loan, is not pursuing a permanent deal at the set price of £40 million by United. Other English clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, and Spurs are unlikely options for Rashford due to his preferences.

Newcastle could be a potential destination for Rashford if a move to Barcelona does not happen. However, Newcastle currently has no interest in signing him. Rashford has attracted interest from clubs in Germany, Italy, and Saudi Arabia, with the main concern for European clubs being his high wages at United.

United is looking for a permanent sale for Rashford, along with other players like Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Alejandro Garnacho. Sancho has garnered interest from European clubs such as Juventus, Napoli, and Borussia Dortmund. Sky Sports will increase its coverage of the Premier League from 128 to at least 215 games exclusively live next season.
