Wimbledon Day 4: Raducanu Meets Sabalenka, Gauff Out

Emma Raducanu secured her place in the third round of Wimbledon after defeating Marketa Vondrousova 6-3 6-3 on Centre Court. The British No 1 played with power and precision, breaking Vondrousova's serve twice in the first set and once more in the second to clinch the victory.

Raducanu will next face world No 1 Aryna Sabalenka, who advanced to the third round with a 7-6 (4) 6-4 win over Czech world No 48 Bouzkova. Sabalenka expressed little concern over the early exits of several top players, focusing on her own game.

Other notable results on day four included:

• Cameron Norrie battled back from a set down to defeat American 12th seed Frances Tiafoe 4-6 6-4 6-3 7-5.
• Sonay Kartal secured her third-round appearance with a 6-2 6-2 win over 20th seed Jelena Ostapenko.
• Katie Boulter's Wimbledon struggles continued as she lost in straight sets to Argentinian rookie Solana Sierra.
