Successors Found for Swearing Raven at Tilgate Zoo
A zoo in West Sussex has introduced two new ravens to replace Terry, a famous resident known for swearing at visitors at Tilgate Zoo in Crawley.
Terry, the raven, had been a popular attraction at the zoo until his death a few years ago. The new ravens, Foghorn and Corbie, a female and a male respectively, have now taken his place.
Local councillor Chris Mullins described Terry as "a talking terror" and mentioned that the new bird, Foghorn, is very chatty. However, neither of the new birds has learned to swear yet.
The new ravens, Foghorn and Corbie, were hand-reared and brought in from a private collection. The zoo emphasizes its commitment to conservation and exchange programs with other zoos, stating they do not take creatures from the wild.
