Sunny Tuesday in Maryland, Storms Expected Later

Maryland will have fall-like weather on Tuesday, with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the upper 70s. There is a chance of a stray shower on the Eastern Shore due to higher humidity levels, with rain expected to return to central Maryland on Thursday.

Temperatures will start cool on Tuesday and gradually rise into the lower 70s by midday and the upper 70s later in the day. Despite slightly higher humidity levels, conditions remain comfortable. An easterly breeze off the Atlantic Ocean may lead to a stray shower on the eastern shore, but most areas will stay dry and sunny.

Light easterly winds overnight will cause patchy fog to develop across parts of the region into Wednesday morning. Commuters should allow extra travel time for the morning commute. The fog is expected to lift by 9 a.m., followed by another day of pleasant weather with highs in the lower 80s.

Maryland will continue to experience very high ragweed levels and moderate to high weed pollen levels until rain helps clear the air. After a period of cooler temperatures, a more summery weather pattern is forecast for late week into the weekend, with rising temperatures and humidity levels.

Thursday will see highs in the mid-80s with moderate humidity, as a cold front approaches from the northwest, bringing showers and storms to the area in the afternoon and evening. While the storms are not expected to be severe, they should bring measurable rainfall, particularly to areas around the Baltimore Beltway, between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Friday will be warm and moderately humid, with a chance of a stray shower. Saturday could be hot and muggy, depending on the timing of a cold front's arrival from the northwest. Showers and storms are expected to move through the area later in the day or evening.

Sunday will bring back gorgeous weather to Maryland, with low humidity, a fresh breeze, and below-average temperatures. Highs will be in the upper 70s on Sunday and Monday, with cool morning temperatures in the 40s and 50s. Residents are advised to dress warmly in the morning and wear short sleeves in the afternoon.
