Thomas Skinner Reacts to Strictly Exit: 'I Dance Like a Fridge'

Thomas Skinner and his dance partner Amy Dowden were the first couple to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing. Skinner, a former apprentice star, expressed that he felt he was not good enough for the show and joked that he moved "like a fridge." Their salsa performance to “Bonkers” by Dizzee Rascal and Armand van Helden failed to impress the judges.

Speaking on the Strictly spin-off program It Takes Two, Skinner acknowledged his limited dancing skills but mentioned that he enjoyed the experience and appreciated meeting Dowden. Dowden, a Welsh dancer, praised Skinner's progress and effort, highlighting the fun they had during their partnership.

Skinner, known for his social media presence, received a combined score of 29 from the judges for his performances in the first two weeks. Judge Craig Revel Horwood humorously commented that Skinner's dancing resembled a weightlifting competition in Skegness. Skinner had previously made headlines for admitting to cheating on his wife shortly after their wedding and for walking out of a press event for Strictly.

The remaining 14 couples will continue competing in the upcoming movie-themed week of Strictly Come Dancing, airing on Saturday, October 11, on BBC One and iPlayer.
