Tommy Fleetwood leads by one shot going into the final round of the FedEx St Jude Championship as he aims for his first Tour title. In the third round, Fleetwood shot a one-under 69, narrowly surpassing Justin Rose.

The competition intensified between Fleetwood and Rose early in the round when Fleetwood double-bogeyed the third hole while Rose made a birdie, reducing Fleetwood's lead. However, Fleetwood managed to extend his lead to three shots but faced a setback on the 18th hole with a bogey after hitting into the rough.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler made a strong comeback with six birdies, finishing the round just two shots behind the leader at 65. JJ Spaun and Andrew Novak are tied for fourth place at 11 under par.

Fleetwood expressed his determination, stating, "It's just another opportunity for me to go out and try and have the best round of golf I can, enjoy being in that position." He emphasized the importance of learning from every experience and being in contention.

The FedEx rankings determined the top 70 players for the event, with the top 50 advancing to the BMW Championship after the tournament. The top 30 players will then compete in the Tour Championship for a chance to win a $10 million bonus.
