Tulsi Gabbard Accuses Obama of Plotting Against Trump

Tulsi Gabbard has accused the Obama administration of orchestrating a prolonged effort to undermine President Donald Trump's 2016 election victory. Gabbard presented declassified emails, alleging a "treasonous conspiracy" by former President Barack Obama and his officials in the investigation of Russian interference in the election.

President Trump endorsed Gabbard's claims on Truth Social, a platform he recently joined, and praised her for her statements. Gabbard accused the Obama administration of attempting to overturn the will of the American people through a long-term coup to prevent Trump from fulfilling his presidential duties.

Democrats criticized Gabbard's accusations, viewing them as a diversion from the Trump administration's handling of Jeffrey Epstein's files. Trump has directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to release some of the files related to grand jury testimony, pending court approval.

Gabbard called for the prosecution of Obama and former national security officials, accusing them of fabricating intelligence about Russian interference in the 2016 election. The DNI memo mentioned former officials such as James Clapper, John Brennan, and James Comey.

Trump has consistently labeled the Russian interference investigation as a hoax. While the intelligence community confirmed Russian attempts to influence the election through social media, the Mueller investigation did not establish direct ties between Russian operators and the Trump campaign.

Democratic representatives criticized Gabbard's claims, with Rep. Jim Himes dismissing them as baseless. Sen. Mark Warner accused Gabbard of politicizing her role as Trump's director of national intelligence to promote election conspiracy theories.

Obama has not yet responded to Gabbard's allegations.
