Vernon Kay Claims Insulting Liam Gallagher at Prodigy Gig

Vernon Kay, 51, has revealed an incident where he insulted Liam Gallagher at a Prodigy gig by asking if the Oasis frontman was wearing fake tan. Liam responded by calling Vernon a 'lanky b******d' back in 2009.

During the encounter at the gig, Vernon, a broadcaster, jokingly questioned Liam about his bronzed appearance, which led to Liam's sharp retort. Despite the exchange, Vernon mentioned that Liam is great company.

Vernon Kay, a BBC Radio 2 broadcaster and a huge Oasis fan, shared this anecdote while writing about the '90s Britpop band for The Sun. He expressed excitement about attending Liam and Noel Gallagher's reunion tour, with the first show scheduled at Cardiff's Principality Stadium.

As Oasis mania grips the nation ahead of the highly anticipated reunion concert, some fans have faced challenges securing tickets. Reports indicate that ticket prices have soared, with some resold tickets fetching up to £2,500, far above their original face value.

Scams related to Oasis concert tickets have been a significant issue, with fans collectively losing over £2 million to fraudulent schemes since ticket sales began. Lloyds Banking Group reported that Oasis fans accounted for more than half of all reported concert ticket scams this year, with an average loss of £436 per victim.

The reunion concert is set to feature Oasis hitting the stage at 8:15 pm, following a performance by Richard Ashcroft at 7:00 pm. Despite ticketing challenges, the excitement surrounding the reunion tour remains high among fans eagerly anticipating the iconic Britpop band's return to the stage.
