White House reveals tech, crypto giants funding East Wing ballroom.
President Donald Trump's East Wing ballroom is expected to cost hundreds of millions of dollars, with contributions from major tech and crypto companies.
Companies like Google, Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, and Apple are among the donors funding the project. Other contributors include Coinbase, Ripple, Tether, as well as prominent tech investors like Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss.
While President Trump has mentioned he will also contribute to the costs, the exact amount has not been disclosed. The White House has not provided details on the individual amounts donated by the 37 contributors.
On October 22, Trump raised the estimated cost of the ballroom by an additional $50 million, bringing the total to around $300 million. Initially planning to demolish only one wall of the East Wing, Trump later announced a full modernization and renovation of the entire East Wing, which traditionally houses the first lady's offices.
Among the donors are companies like Palantir Technologies and Lockheed Martin, both holding significant contracts with the Trump administration, as well as Trump allies and administration members like Kelly Loeffler and Howard Lutnick, listed as "Lutnick Family."
The Adelson family, including Miriam Adelson, a billionaire and GOP donor who received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2018 from Trump, is also on the list of contributors.
The White House has released a list of all 37 donors.
