Will Hernandez Re-Signs with Arizona Cardinals for NFL Comeback after ACL Tear

The Arizona Cardinals have re-signed offensive lineman Will Hernandez as he recovers from a torn ACL he suffered last season in Week 5.

Hernandez missed the remainder of the season and his two-year contract with the team expired. However, he announced on Instagram that he is returning to the team just a month before the new season starts. In a post with quarterback Kyler Murray, Hernandez wished Murray a happy 28th birthday and expressed his excitement to return to the team.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, Hernandez has signed a one-year deal with the Cardinals. He impressed the team during a recent visit while continuing his knee rehabilitation.

Since joining the Cardinals in 2022, Hernandez has been a regular starter, making 30 starts in his first two seasons. Last season, he played only five games before getting injured on October 6 against the 49ers. Hernandez recently announced on Instagram that he has been medically cleared from his ACL injury and is eager to return to the field.

Hernandez, a 2018 second-round pick, started his career with the Giants before moving to Arizona in free agency. The Cardinals will kick off their regular season on September 7 against the Saints.
