Star Trek actor William Shatner is recovering after being hospitalized on Wednesday due to an issue with his blood sugar levels at his home in Los Angeles. The 94-year-old star, known for playing Captain James T Kirk in the Star Trek franchise, was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. Reports indicate that Shatner is now resting comfortably.

Shatner clarified that the reports of his condition were exaggerated, stating that he had simply overindulged and was perfectly fine. He advised not to trust tabloids or AI for accurate information. The actor is famous for his role as Captain Kirk in Star Trek, alongside other original cast members.

In addition to his iconic role in Star Trek, Shatner has appeared in various films and TV series, including Miss Congeniality, TJ Hooker, The Practice, and Boston Legal. He also made the documentary You Can Call Me Bill in 2023 as a way to connect with his grandchildren before he passes away.

Shatner made headlines in 2021 for traveling to space on Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin shuttle, describing the experience as profound and emotional. Despite his initial fear of going into space, he found the journey to be a moving and unforgettable experience.
